He was born in 1979 in Pula. In 2006, he graduated from the University of Zadar with a dual degree in Archaeology and History. He completed his doctoral studies at the Department of Archaeology at the University of Zadar in 2015, defending his dissertation titled "Roman Rural Architecture of Istria in the Context of Economic and Social History."
From 2006 to 2008, he was employed at the Archaeological Museum of Istria, participating in numerous archaeological field investigations across Istria and Dalmatia. Since 2008, he has been employed at the Department of History within the Faculty of Humanities (today the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, initially as a research assistant.
In 2015, he advanced to the position of postdoctoral researcher. He joined the newly established Department of Archaeology in 2018, the same year he was promoted to the academic rank of Research Associate in the field of Archaeology. In 2019, he was appointed Assistant Professor, and in 2024, he attained the position of Associate Professor. Since 2022, he is the head of the Department of Archaeology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Pula.
