Tijana Vukić, PhD was born in Pula, where she finished elementary school and high school. She graduated in Croatian language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 2002 and attended the paralel study of Journalism at the Faculty of Political Science. She has worked as a teacher in primary and secondary schools and for ten years as a journalist and editor in national, regional and city print and electronic media.
She received her PhD in 2014 from the University of Zadar in the postgraduate study of Culture and Tourism, majoring in Journalism and Public Relations, and since 2008 she has been employed at the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula. She currently works as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Interdisciplinary, Italian and Cultural Studies where, at the undergraduate and graduate level of Culture and Tourism, she teaches media, PR and communication science courses in Croatian and English for students within the ERASMUS international exchange.
She was the president of the Committee for communications of the Faculty, a member of the Committee for quality and improvement of study programs of the Faculty, and currently she is a member of the Publishing Committee of the University as a faculty representative. In 2019, she was the deputy editor-in-chief of the scientific journal In Medias Res.
She continuously improves herself at conferences, workshops and seminars in the country and abroad and deals with professional work and popularization of science in cooperation with various educational and other institutions in Pula and Istria by creating and participating in numerous projects in the local and regional community.
She successfully collaborates with students on various projects. In 2019, she established the FITIKS Media Group, of which she is a mentor. From 2019. to 2021. she was the editor-in-chief of the student radio show "A bit of culture, a bit of tourism" in collaboration with local Radio Maestral.
In free time she is engaged in writing literature and with public speaking. She volunteers whenever the opportunity arises.
The publication that reflects her core scientific interest is the scientific monograph From Journalism to Journalism: Journalistic Skills Study published in 2017 in the publication of popular scientific publishing house Golden Marketing - Technical Book. It is a perennial study, partly set on my doctoral thesis research.
The book presents a chronological overview of journalistic education in the world and the methodology of journalistic education in the perspective of journalistic skills, the most complete and consistent representation of journalistic education in Croatia so far, the first normative classification of journalists' education in Croatia, Journalistic Personality Model as a basis for sustainable journalistic education, definitions of overall journalistic education concepts and the academic curriculum analysis of journalistic skills in Croatia.

2021-2023 - Project team leader of the international scientific institutional project Higher Journalism Education in Digital Environment.
2019-2020 - Project team leader of the institutional scientific project Radio for the Young in Croatia. The project investigates commercial FM radio stations for young, dating back to 2014 in Croatia, which have not been the subject of scientific research so far. In addition, learning methods are studied within the extracurricular activity Media Group and within the work on the radio show A bit of Culture, A bit of Tourism for students of the study program Culture and Tourism, in collaboration with the local Radio Maestral (95.4 FM).
2019 - 2022 - Project team leader at the international competitive EU project for the development of standards of occupation, qualification standards and for the upgrading of the undergraduate study program Culture and Tourism in the Republic of Croatia in partnership with the University of Zadar. It is the part of the "Operational Program for Human Resources Effective 2014-2020; UP.03.1.1.03 - Implementation of HKO-on-level-Higher Education-1; UP.03.1.1.03.0070 Development and improvement of study programs according to HKO at the University of Juraj Dobrila in Pula ". It is a project of the European Social Fund, implemented by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Croatia.
2017 - Project associate within the international scientific project Involvement of the Host Professionals and Higher Professors in the Pedagogical Process as the Developmental Pillar Process of Internationalization in the Maribor University of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union in cooperation with the Institute for Media Communication of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics, University of Maribor (Slovenia).
