The HEJDE Project Started

As announced, the institutional scientific project of an international character “Higher Education of Journalists in a Digital Environment (HEJDE)” has officially started as planned, in January 2021, by continuing the initial communication among members of different project activity teams.

This three-year scientific project (2021–2023), financed by the Faculty of Interdisciplinary, Italian and Cultural Studies of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, aims to research the conditions and perspectives of European academic education of journalists in the digital environment from different perspectives which are part of four original key project activities:

  • The digital environment of higher education for journalists in Europe
  • Online study programmes that educate journalists in Croatia – a need and/or an opportunity?
  • digital collection of literature on education for journalists
  • film and higher education for journalists.

Considering the interdisciplinary nature of the project, team members and collaborators who are involved in project activities are experts and academics from different fields - scientists and researchers in the field of communication sciences, journalists, graduate and postgraduate students.

During the whole duration of the project we are open for collaboration, especially regarding the collection of data related to study programmes that educate journalists in Europe. Feel free to contact us at any time by e-mail at: fitiks-hejde@unipu.hr.
