HEJDE project: Romano Bolković new...

On September 9, 2021, the e-publication H-Alter published the fourth interview in a series of texts within the project on the promotion of excellence in journalism run by the Croatian Agency for Electronic Media in 2021 - Public Dialogue on Academic Education of Journalists - an associated activity to the international institutional scientific project Higher Education of Journalists in the digital environment (HEJDE) of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary, Italian and Cultural Studies led by assistant professor Tijana Vukić, PhD.

In mid-July, Vukić spoke from Pula with the well-known Croatian television journalist and editor Romano Bolković who was in Zagreb. Bolković has a diverse and rich media experience, which is reflected in his views on journalism education.

Literacy, eloquence, knowledge of the work of colleagues, understanding of the topic, developing creativity and distinctive style, as well as journalistic personality is what adorns a quality journalist. Additional education is always welcome, but the emphasis should be on serious general higher education and possibly shorter study programs that educate journalists and are primarily focused on media practice, Bolković believes.
