
Past, Present, Future is an interdisciplinary series of conferences, which combines history and related disciplines to analyse topics and questions that have an impact on the present. Our aim is to tackle the problems of today and tomorrow by looking for patterns in our past.
Our previous conferences dealt with the issues of identity, the aftermath's of wars, and peace and social justice:

Since 2013 the Medieval workshop in Rijeka, organized jointly by the History Department of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and the Croatian Academy of Sciences in Zagreb, brings together young researchers who deal with some aspect of medieval period research, whether from a Croatian or a European viewpoint.
The scientific and professional goals of the Medieval workshop in Rijeka are to contribute to the development of science and its popularization through the presentation of the results of the most recent research in the field of medieval history.
