Biography

I am Assistant Professor in Linguistics at the Faculty for Interdisciplinary, Italian and Cultural Studies at the “Juraj Dobrila” University of Pula. I obtained BA and MA in German and Italian language and literature and my PhD in Linguistics from the University of Zagreb. I am currently Coordinator and Principal Investigator of the bilateral research project Bilingualism in Slovene and Croatian Istria on the case of translations of administrative texts. I am currently Chair of the Croatian Applied Linguistics Society - Pula branch and a Member of the working group Osservatorio dellʼitaliano istituzionale fuori dʼItalia (OIIFI) of the REI – Rete per l’eccellenza dell’italiano istituzionale at the European Commission. My research interests include corpus linguistics, translation studies, language technology, contrastive linguistics, LSP and bi/multilingualism. I currently teach various modules in Linguistics, Translation Studies and LSP at BA and MA level.
