Robert Matijašić is professor at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula where he teaches Ancient History. He graduated in Archaeology (A-major) and English Language and Literature (B-minor) at the University of Zagreb in 1979, where he obtained also his M.A. in 1985, and his PhD in 1994. From 1979 - 1996 he worked in the Archaeological Museum of Istria (Director 1991-1994). He participated in archaeological excavations in Zagreb, Slavonija, Dalmacija, and Istria, and was director of excavations at the sites of Campus Martium and Forum in Pula. He was several times awarded short fellowships at the University of Padua, Ecole Francaise de Rome, University of Macerata, University of Oxford, University of Bordeaux.

 

Klara Buršić-Matijašić is professor at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, where she teaches Prehistory and Ancient History. She graduated in Archaeology (A-major) and Italian Language and Literature (B-minor) in 1982. She obtained her M.A. in 1997, and her PhD in 2001 at the same university. From 1982 to 2001 she worked as curator in the Archaeological Museum of Istria in Pula. She participated in several archaeological excavations in Dalmatia and Istria. She was the Director of the excavations at Monte Ricco near Vrsar 2014-2017. She was awarded a short fellowship at Ecole Francaise de Rome.

 

Davor Bulić is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, where he teaches Ancient History. He gratuated in Archaeology and History at the University of Zadar, where he obtained also his PhD in Archaeology in 2015. From 2006 to 2008 he worked at the Archaeological Museum of Istria in Pula, and from 2008 he is a researcher at the Juraj Dobrila Univeristy of Pula. He participated in numerous archaeological excavations in Dalmatia and Istria, and was the Director of the excavations in Fažana, Pula, and Plomin Luka.

 

Katarina Gerometta is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Department of History, Faculty of Humanities, Juraj Dobrila University of Pula. She graduated in Archaeology, History of Art, and Italian Language and Literature at the University of Zagreb, where she obtained also her PhD in Archaeology in 2017. She participated at numerous archaeological excavations in Croatia, Italy, Serbia, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Macedonia and Montenegro. She attended soil micromorphology training courses and workshops in Pisa, London, Tübingen, and Cambridge.

 

Sara Popović is a Post Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Landscape Archaeology. She graduated in Archaeology at the University of Zagreb in 2007, and obtained her PhD at the University of Ljubljana in 2016. From 2008 to 2010 she worked as curator in the Stari Grad Museum on the island of Hvar where she conducted archaeological excavations as well as the Stari Grad Plain monitoring project. She participated at numerous archaeological excavations in Croatia and in Greece. She attended several international schools and workshops on aeroarheology, GIS, 3D modeling and landscape archeology.
