Erasmus Traineeship Opportunity - Department of Italian Studies

Main Tasks

Primary focus:

• Social media marketing and digital communication
• Managing and creating content for the Department’s social media channels
• Promotion of the Department’s activities, projects and study programmes
• Event management, organisation and promotion of academic and public events
• Assisting in teaching, learning and other dissemination activities

International cooperation:

• Support in international relations and cooperation activities
• Assistance in communication with international partners and institutions
• Support for international projects, initiatives, and visiting guests
• Contribution to international visibility and engagement activities

Administrative and support tasks:

• Assistance and support with documentation, correspondence and data organisation
• Organisational support for projects, events and promotional activities
• Preparation of reports, lists and basic administrative records
• Other tasks as assigned by the teaching staff

Assisting in teaching, learning and other dissemination activities

• Assisting in and participating in classes, workshops and other educational activities, in cooperation with the teaching staff
• Contributing to other dissemination activities by taking part in educational, cultural and other activities organized for students and the wider community.

Profile of the Candidate

• Interest in Italian culture, language and literature; social media marketing; communication; international cooperation; administrative work
• Excellent knowledge of Italian (written and spoken) – native or C1/C2 level
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous experience in communication, social media, administrative or international activities is an advantage, but not mandatory
• Knowledge of photo editing and visual design tools is an advantage, but not mandatory

Candidates apply for financial support through their home institution. Once selected, they create an Online Learning Agreement for Traineeships (OLA) through the EWP Dashboard. They must also email the OLA, CV, proof of health insurance, a copy of their ID card or passport and a motivation letter to international.office@unipu.hr and nporopat@unipu.hr.

Before signing the funding agreement, students must submit:

1. The completed Learning Agreement for Traineeships – Before the Mobility, arranged with the host institution and their home department’s ECTS coordinator or mentor.
2. Proof of health insurance for the full mobility period.
3. Confirmation of accident-at-work and liability insurance. Students must check whether the host institution provides either type. If not, they must arrange it themselves and submit proof.

*Three types of insurance are required for an Erasmus+ traineeship: health, accident-at-work and liability insurance. Coverage must span the full mobility period specified in the funding agreement. Students must check whether the host institution provides accident-at-work and liability coverage. If it does not, students must arrange their own policies. The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) provides basic healthcare coverage in EU countries, but it does not cover workplace accidents or liability; additional health coverage may also be advisable. Students are responsible for arranging their own visa and residence status. They should also research accommodation options in good time.
